I plan on spending all summer sitting under a tree reading, any suggestions on what books I should read? I need lots of help! Also Music suggestions, I love listening and reading.
Have you read Cats Cradle? Love love love Vonnegut. I'm also reading this book for english that is actually quite good. A Prayer For Owen Meany. Those are the two books that come to mind right off the bat. Summer is just around the corner!!
agree with adam, cat's cradle is terrific. pretty much all vonnegut books are the same, you could also try timequake, slaughterhouse-five, or bluebeard (my personal favorite).
also, i just read the virgin suicides and it's terrific. amazing wonderful. it's very similar to the bell jar, if you've read that... and if not then you should :)
ahh sitting and reading all summer sounds absolutely divine. *sigh*
as far as book to read, i agree with Patrick on pretty much everything he said, particularly extremely loud which is simply unbelievable. i'd also add brave new world (because its a classic and it's AMAZING) and the alchemist which is a wonderful short but powerful read.
