Have you read Cats Cradle? Love love love Vonnegut. I'm also reading this book for english that is actually quite good. A Prayer For Owen Meany.
Those are the two books that come to mind right off the bat.
Summer is just around the corner!!

agree with adam, cat's cradle is terrific. pretty much all vonnegut books are the same, you could also try timequake, slaughterhouse-five, or bluebeard (my personal favorite).

also, i just read the virgin suicides and it's terrific. amazing wonderful. it's very similar to the bell jar, if you've read that... and if not then you should :)

It's a great book to quote. And I love that photo! Books ARE the safest things to buy.

If you haven't read "Eat Pray Love" yet, it's a great lazy summer afternoon read.

Never let me go, Life of Pi, Extremely loud and incredibly close, middlesex, and the unbearable lightness of being.

Those are my top 5 favorite books.

ahh sitting and reading all summer sounds absolutely divine. *sigh*

as far as book to read, i agree with Patrick on pretty much everything he said, particularly extremely loud which is simply unbelievable. i'd also add brave new world (because its a classic and it's AMAZING) and the alchemist which is a wonderful short but powerful read.
